Progressive death metallers SKYFIRE will see its first two albums, 2001’s Timeless Departure and 2003’s Mind Revolution, released digitally for the first time ever via Pivotal Rockordings on January 30th, 2013. The two albums are have been expanded with the inclusion of the Haunted By Shadows EP tracks, a Japanese-only bonus track and the entire 1998 Within Reach demo which has never seen the light of day. The “Skyfire” and “By God Forsaken” tracks, originally labeled backwards due to a studio error while the band recorded alongside CHILDREN OF BODOM, have also been properly re-labeled.

The band formed in 1995 with a vision of combining epic atmospheric metal with complex song structures, yielding a sound that completely deviated from what the rest of the Swedish scene was doing at the time. SKYFIRE’s unique musical concoction resulted in legacy of over 10 years and will for the first time be available in digital format. However, in an effort to make sure all SKYFIRE material saw the light of day, Pivotal Rockordings first released the digital-only Fractal EP in 2009, which featured tracks written between 2004’s Spectral and 2009’s Esoteric and demonstrated the band’s growth as musicians and a group over those years. It was also the first new SKYFIRE material to feature lead guitarist Johan Reinholdz (ANDROMEDA) and vocalist Joakim Karlsson (STILL I WITHER).

The band released its highly anticipated debut album Inom förloppet av ett liv digitally on October 12th, 2012 via Pivotal Rockordings but the track “Från mitt hjärta” did not appear on the album and was released as a single instead on December 5th 2012. The band’s first two singles from the album Inom förloppet av ett liv, “Livsflykt” and the self titled track “Inom förloppet av ett liv” (feat. ELDRIMNER is a Gothenburg, Sweden based progressive extreme metal act featuring MARIONETTE vocalist Alexander Andersson. Lyrically, Inom förloppet av ett liv tells the life story of a man who discovers a darker side of himself which in turn grows into a disease infecting his thoughts and actions. Performed entirely in Swedish, this is a story in which your darkest thoughts surface and sing out in pure lamentation. Expect nothing less than the most bombastic, rhythmically eclectic and stylistically transcendent metal to ever come from Sweden.
ELDRIMNER recorded drums at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg and guitars, bass, vocals and mixing took place at N3 with THE CROWN guitarist Marko Tervonen. The album was also mastered by Tervonen and Dragan Tanaskovic (DARK TRANQUILLITY, DIMENSION ZERO, IN FLAMES) and features a guest vocal appearance from ZOMBIEKRIG vocalist Axel Widén who also created the artwork for the album and accompanying novel which will be unveiled on a weekly basis during the run up to the release.
Founded in 2006, ELDRIMNER immediately played shows regularly with other groups in the tight-knit Gothenburg black metal scene. Over the following years, the band’s original black metal sound evolved and matured, taking inspiration from groups as varied as MESHUGGAH but with focus kept on their new branch of black metal. In 2009, ELDRIMNER released an EP entitled I mitt jag which was followed by an appearance at Metal Town, Gothenburg’s largest metal festival.

The band features former ARCH ENEMY and current HEARSE vocalist Johan Liiva and ANDROMEDA/SKYFIRE guitarist Johan Reinholdz. NONEXIST has released its first new full-length album in 10 years, From My Cold Dead Hands, on November 2nd digitally via Pivotal Rockordings. NONEXIST will make its first live appearance at Scorched Tundra Festival, set to take place December 28th at Sticky Fingers in Sweden, playing alongside ZOMBIEKRIG, SWITCH OPENS, NO HAWAII and label mates ELDRIMNER. NONEXIST’s live lineup will include the following musicians:

From My Cold Dead Hands was recorded at Multipass Studios, features 9 blistering tracks and is also accompanied by cover songs that Pivotal Rockordings is releasing for free via various social media websites and media outlets. NONEXIST’s debut full-length record Deus Deceptor was released in 2002 via Century Media/New Hawen Records and the lineup at the time included Johan Liiva, Johan Reinholdz, and DEFLESHED/DARK FUNERAL drummer Matte Modin. Deus Deceptor was produced by Tommy Tägtgren and Johan Reinholdz at Abyss Studios and featured a musical direction described as a cross between early ARCH ENEMY and CARCASS (circa Heartwork).
